Viv Harvey’s funeral is Friday 30th January 11.30am at Menheniot Church then onto the old School House after.
Anyone wishing to attend can you please message Pete Atkinson to let him know as the family want to know numbers.

Sad news on this Weds evening as I have just learnt of the passing of Viv Harvey from Menheniot. Viv was a tough competitor at both billiards and snooker even though he unfortunately suffered physically, something he never moaned about. On behalf of everyone at St Dominic and all clubs in the Liskeard League , I send my sincere condolences to Viv's close family and his friends at the Jago Institute. RIP Viv, Darren Hunn
Some upsetting news, on New Year’s Day Viv Harvey sadly passed away.
He was a huge part of the snooker club, joining at 15 years old and playing at a high level in billiards and snooker for 60 years, winning a tremendous amount of trophies, winning leagues in both professions.
He was part of Liskeard District team which won the league for several years, he was always out to win and never got upset at losing.
Despite his disability he was tough to beat, it never got in the way of his game as he loved the game so much.
He was very fond of the cricket club, he would play there and also help out with the scoring, he was also very fond of playing bowls.
He was and still is a very well liked and loved member of our club, his memory will live on for a long time within the club and the village.
I personally was his team mate for a good 20 years and a memory of mine would be if you missed a pot he’d say to me “faulty steering boy”
We’ll all have our memories of him which I’m sure they will all be good memories.
